Open To All seeks to value and include people with physical or sensory impairment; people with learning disabilities; people with mental health needs; Deaf people, and carers, in all aspects of church life. It does this by:
- Training for clergy and laity in issues relating to mental health, disability and Deaf issues
- Project work with parishes
- Advice and information
- Resources on these issues, e.g. for World Mental Health Day
- Access audits for churches
More detailed information is available in the leaflet “Open To All” which can be downloaded from our Resources page or by contacting any member of the Open to All team.

If you would like more information please see our Deaf & Inclusion page.
The Open to All Forum
The work of Open To All is supported by the Open To All Forum (for disability issues) and the Mental Health Forum (for mental health issues specifically). Members of both Forums include ordained and lay people who have experience, whether personal or professional, in these areas.
The Open to All Forum acts as a practical resource for the Diocese in assisting churches to be more open and accessible to all people, especially those with disabilities. The Forum is able to carry out access audits for parishes within the Diocese: please contact Suzette Jones for further details. The Forum also facilitates study days and other learning opportunities around issues relating to disability.
The Mental Health Forum
The Mental Health Forum facilitates training opportunities on mental health issues; produces resources for World Mental Health Day, and encourages project work with parishes and deaneries to the benefit of people with mental health needs.
