To be based in the areas of Leatherhead and Dorking
Signposting to appropriate support is particularly important when providing services for the vulnerable and needy members of our communities who often have greater needs because of isolation, lack of transport, poor health, financial difficulties etc.
This new Community Connector post will develop relationships, providing a link between projects and other initiatives which connect and work in partnership with: churches of all denominations, other Faiths, voluntary organisations, local authorities and the public sector. Through mapping services in Mole Valley, you will identify gaps in resources, link with commissioners of services providing a valuable source of information, local knowledge and opportunities for collaboration and partnership working.
The appointment will be initially for 1 year, then will be subject to ongoing funding.

Emergency Response Co-ordinator (voluntary role)
Guildford Diocese has the responsibility for the co-ordination of a multi-faith response to emergencies and major incidents that occur within its boundaries. The network of contacts is designed to provide an appropriate response from the churches and faiths to a crisis as it unfolds.
The Diocesan Communities Engagement Team (CET) is seeking a volunteer to to co-ordinate this work.
The commitment to be about 2-3 hours per month
