Guildford's newest priests step forward photo

Guildford Diocese’s newest priests were ordained at Guildford Cathedral on Saturday 30 June by the Rt Revd Christopher Hill, Bishop of Guildford – and will now begin their ministries all over the Church of England diocese covering much of Surrey and north-east Hamphire.

Following a programme of three or four years of intense study - and often after many years of service in the church and wider community - the thirteen new clergy welcomed by their parishes are (from left to right): Kate Wyles (Godalming), Sarah Hutton (Shere, Albury & Chilworth), Carol Monk (Ash), Andrew Cowie (St Paul, Woking), Richard Cobbold (Farnborough North Team Ministry), Ruth Brothwell (Merrow), Glen Mansfield (Holy Trinity, Aldershot), Lynn Alsop (St Martin of Tours, Epsom), Michael Harle (Claygate), Kuhan Satkunanayagam (Leatherhead & Mickleham), Rachel Sturt (Wrecclesham), Marion deQuidt (Fetcham), Jane Vlach (Holy Trinity & St Mary, Guildford).
