Art Beyond Limitations
A summer art exhibition is set to be hosted by Guildford Cathedral coinciding with the Paralympics - from Tuesday August 21 until Sunday September 9, 0930 to 1630 each day .

The Art Beyond Limitations exhibition celebrates the wonderful contributions made by those who overcome life's limitations, with an opportunity to meet the artists on Thursday August 30. And every day, exhibition visitors will be able to help create an interactive mosaic which will in turn be on display.

Meet the Artists - An afternoon reception on Thursday August 30 from 1630 until 1715 in the cathedral will give everyone the opportunity to find out more about some of the talent artists involved.

One of the artists attending is Godalming's Daniel Eley - a prolific fundraiser and recent Olympic torch carrier. Daniel was paralysed while volunteering in south America and he is currently fundraising for a project to teach street children IT skills to help them out of poverty in Columbia. Find out more by visiting www.danieleley.org

An Evensong Service also on August 30 from 1730, will acknowledge the contributions made by those who overcome life's limitations. It is a service to celebrate the contribution of all and the exclusion of none and mark the new emphasis of Diocesan work in relation to sensory need and inclusion. There will be large screens, signing interpreters and sensory assistance dogs are welcome.
