The Revd Dr Brian Shand has set up a private psychotherapy practice called Guildford Therapy two miles from the town. Brian is a qualified and accredited psychotherapist with considerable NHS experience. Guildford Therapy offers group psychotherapy and some individual therapy.

It may benefit those struggling with a range of emotional issues including depression, relationship problems, work-related difficulties, anxiety, loneliness, low confidence and self-esteem, stress, the effects of painful, traumatic and abusive experiences, anger, assertiveness, guilt, shame and personal growth and fulfillment.
