Are you from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) heritage and feel that God is calling you to serve in the Church of England, but think there are hurdles in the way, perhaps including that you are:
- Too young?
- Too old?
- Not clever enough?
- Not needed?
- Not experienced enough?
It's not true. Would you like the opportunity to explore God’s calling to you to authorised ministry and to learn about training opportunities, e.g. to licensed lay ministry, ordained ministry or chaplaincy?
Then why not come along to this open session, run by the Diocese of Guildford, and designed especially for you to explore your possibilities. Please feel free to bring a friend or family member and encourage others in your church to come with you.
Rosemarie Davidson-Gotobed, National Minority Ethnic Vocations Officer from the Ministry Division of the Archbishops’ Council will be talking about the national picture in the Church of England, where the aim is to increase the number and proportion of men and women from BAME backgrounds entering ministry.
If you would like an informal chat and to find out more about this event please call The Revd Bev Hunt on 01483 424710.
There is parking on site at St Peter's or at Manor Way car park GU22 9JY and a 5 minute walk from the church.
