Messy Cathedral: just like a big Messy Church!

Date: 03 September 2011

Get ready for a splurge on Stag Hill as Messy Church and Guildford Cathedral team up for an extra large family-friendly event on October 2.

Messy Church started with just one church's attempt to be a church for families who might want to meet Jesus, belong to their local church and bring up their children as Christians but who struggle with traditional Sunday morning church services.

Messy Church is a once-a-month time of creativity, worship and eating together. You may have read about it in the Barnabas book Messy Church, you may even already be running it in your parish, or you may want to find out more.

As part of the celebrations for Guildford Cathedral’s 50th birthday, the Diocesan Children’s Work Team and many children’s leaders from across the diocese will be hosting a MESSY CATHEDRAL on Sunday October 2 between 4.00 – 6.15pm. All children with their families are invited to come and share together in the fun, food and worship – no charge but we would appreciate an email or phone call to help us gauge the numbers for tea!

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.
