Former Archdeacon of Dorking the Ven Mark Wilson dies aged 67

THE DIOCESE OF GUILDFORD REGRETS TO ANNOUNCE THE DEATH OF FORMER ARCHDEACON OF DORKING, THE VEN MARK WILSON.

Mark’s funeral will be on Friday 18 October at 10:30am, at Guildford Cathedral, Stag Hill, Guildford GU2 7UP.

Everyone who would like to give thanks for Mark’s life is welcome to attend. Mark's widow, the Revd Canon Mavis Wilson, has said that anyone attending the funeral should not feel obliged to wear black as it will be both a memorial and thanksgiving.

The family have requested donations in lieu of flowers to a choice of three charities that were important to Mark - Burrswood Hospital (Dorothy Kerin Trust), the Church Mission Society and Freedom from Torture. Online donations may be made via the following:
