Focus on Spirituality

An independently produced magazine encouraging spirituality, sponsored as part of the spiritual outreach at St Nicolas' Guildford.

The main theme of the August edition is "What is God like?"

God comes to us in the way that is possible for each of us. Those who do not believe in "God" meet God in their honesty. So we realise that the word is but a cipher. In this summer edition of FOCUS we have invited a range of people to reflect on what God is like.

Plus poetry, forthcoming events, and other items of a spiritual nature.

'Focus' is published three times a year, with an editorial team comprising:

  • Canon Dr Andrew Norman, Rector of St Nicolas' Guildford
  • Canon David Eaton, retired priest
  • Canon Dr Julie Gittoes, Residentiary Canon, Guildford Cathedral
  • Sally Lowe

The annual subscription in £10 with individual copies at £3.50. A large-print version is available at £13.50 for the year or £4.50 for individual copies.

Focus is also available electronically (.pdf format) for £5 per year or £2 per individual copy. Please make cheques payable to St Nicolas' PCC and send to:

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field;

it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”

Matthew 13:31
