Phil Simpson

Diocesan Interfaith Adviser

Diocesan Interfaith Adviser (DIFA) Rev Phil Simpson

Phil’s role is to consult with and brief the Bishops on interfaith issues. He connects with the National Anglican DIFA network 'Presence and Engagement’  and chairs the Interfaith Advisory Group, which links with parishes across the diocese. He seeks to  embrace tension between the Great Commandment (Love neighbour) and Great Commission (Make disciples).  And he also believes in having 'Great Conversations' through Interfaith dialogue and mutual faith-sharing.

Phil has spent over 30 years in mission  traveling extensively in Middle East and Asia and is currently the SSM at Christchurch in Woking and a self employed mission consultant
