The Understanding Christianity materials are produced by RE Today, in conjunction with the Church of England Education Office. The materials are intended to support teachers in all schools in teaching about Christianity in Religious Education. The publishers say that the materials are not designed a syllabus or a scheme of work, but should be used as a resource to support the delivery of a Diocesan or locally agreed syllabus.
These high quality materials are only available to schools that have attended training run by an accredited trainer. The training consists of one full day and two half days with the possibility of an extra twilight in groups of schools using the same RE syllabus to consider how to use the materials with that syllabus.
More details about the materials can be found here on the Understanding Christianity Website
