Queen Eleanor's CofE Junior School, Guildford

With highly motivated, friendly and supportive staff, pupils at Queen Eleanor's CofE Junior School (converted 1/10/14) develop a deep love of learning and a strong sense of pride in their school.

Set in a four-acre site in the heart of Guildford's Onslow Village, the school's physical setting provides for safe, varied and stimulating learning as well as space for play. Originally, a secondary school, the school is blessed with excellent school accomodation: large classrooms, a gym, a library and tailored facilities for music, drama and ICT work.

At least an hour of coaching a week is given to all pupils in the school's outdoor swimming pool for up to five months a year and many productions and class assemblies are delivered on a large purpose-built stage in the hall. The school is also planning to introduce further outdoor creative play areas in the near future.

Pupils take a keen role in shaping the devlopment of the three-form entry school and actively engage with its values. Queen Eleanor's has a distinctively Christian ethos and enjoys close links with both All Saints' Church in Onslow, and St Nicolas' Church in Guildford's town centre.

The school was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in 2013 and its Senior Leadership Team works hard to sustain and develop the successful elements of the school - outstanding behaviour and safety of pupils, a Christian ethos that permeates through everything and high levels of parental and community support.
