The Mothers' UnionMU logo

The Mothers' Union is a Christian organisation that promotes the wellbeing of families worldwide. It achieves this by:

  • developing prayer and spiritual growth in families
  • studying and reflecting on family life and marriage and its place in society
  • resourcing our members for practical action to improve conditions for families, nationally and in the communities in which they live

They welcome members young and old, married and single, women and men, who have been baptised in the name of the Trinity.

Mothering Sunday

A new range of prayer, worship and children’s resources has been released that could make ‘Mothering Sunday’ and ‘The Mothers’ Union’ synonymous in parishes across England and Wales.

The resources for March 2017 are available to all clergy and congregations, whether or not they have a Mothers’ Union branch, via the MU website

Clergy will also be given the opportunity to provide feedback to help improve the material for 2018.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.
