Bargains available on 1000+ theological works

Date: 09 January 2012

A priest in the Diocese of Guildford who is set to retire is seeking homes for a lifetime collection of theological literature.

The Revd Andrew Body will retire at the end of April, but the house that he and wife Pippa have purchased in Ludlow will not have room to accommodate the large collection of theological works which Andrew has amassed during his career.

He is therefore offering more than 1,100 religious books for sale, with plenty of bargains to be had.

“It is very hard to part with books that have been good friends for so many years - but needs must," said Andrew.
“Hopefully they will be of use to others as they have been to me. I found I couldn’t part with over 500 theology books though - so I won't be short of reading matter.
“We would be delighted if people can make use of them, and in the process help defray the costs of moving.

Andrew - who also has some Hornby Dublo trains and rolling stock available - will be at home for browsers on Tuesday 21 or Friday 24 February (or at other times during February by arrangement).

“And if anyone can find a home for copies of the Expository Times from 1970 through to the present, they also are on offer!”

The books are catalogued and if anyone wants a list, email Andrew at
