Could 2014 be the year for Women Bishops?

Date: 03 January 2014
Could 2014 be the year for women bishops?

This was the question posed to Dianna Gwilliams, Dean of Guildford on 96.4 The Eagle on Thursday 2nd January.

She said: "In my mind if we are invited by God in Christ to belong to God, then that invitation is without qualification.

"It's evolution and not revolution that happens in the Church of England.

“Wanting to demonstrate something of respect for one another has enabled, I think it seems to me, The General Synod to listen to one another."

Dianna Gwilliams was speaking to the radio station ahead of the vote in February.
