New emergency contact resource launched

Date: 12 July 2019

The Communities Engagement Team have launched a new resource featuring contact information for national and local organisations to support people throughout the diocese.

Broken down into different categories the poster, called ‘Green for Go. Go for Help!’ features contact details for agencies to help with a range of issues:

  • Homelessness,
  • Mental Health,
  • Modern Slavery,
  • Relationship problems and
  • Drug and alcohol abuse

Churches throughout the diocese are being encouraged to display the poster to ensure that anyone requiring support can easily access the help they need.

Suzette Jones, Diocesan Health & Wellbeing Adviser, who created the poster, explained:

“Taking the first step and accessing the support you need is the most difficult and can be terrifying. There are so many organisations out there able to help, regardless of the problem, but it can be difficult to actively search to find out to whom you need to talk.

“We hope that through this poster people can find the help that they need and maybe even inspire someone to think about whether they could benefit from support.

“It would be wonderful to see churches throughout the diocese embrace this poster and help support those in need in their communities.”

Then afterward

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
