LMP Spring 2024 Term starts

This week saw the start of the new Spring term for many in education, including our Local Ministry Programme (LMP).

They kicked off the latest term by welcoming their new Academic Dean, Revd Dr Anna Poulson, who will be officially joining the LMP family at the end of January.

Anna is an experienced parish priest, working in one of the most multi-cultural and deprived parishes in the country. She is also an able theologian, specialising in Christian ethics, and has been involved in the training and support of clergy and lay leaders in the London Diocese and other theological colleges.

The LMP is open to all with three training pathways to equip the church and serve the wider community. Anyone can explore training for licensed ministry as Ordained or Lay Ministers, or further their knowledge about the Christian faith.

Typically, the part-time licensed ministry programme is completed over two years for Licensed Lay Ministers and three years for ordinands. Our students learn about theology and mission together while staying in their own church context.

Our Local Ministry Programme has had some exciting developments over the last year, notably the addition of the Foundations in Ministry (FiM) Programme, a two-year course that trains you to serve your church in a role that suits your gifting and calling as a lay minister.

Why not take a moment this New Year to explore our ministry programmes and see where they could take you?

Head to our Formation & Training and Calling & Vocation pages to find out more.
