Our partners are a really important part of the mission and ministry of the Diocese of Guildford. We work closely with the key organisations listed below.
We have overseas links with dioceses Nigeria, Viborg in Denmark, and Sialkot in Pakistan. Read more about the mutual benefits of these world mission links.
Mothers Union – the wonderful work of the Mothers Union extends right across the diocese, with both lay and ordained volunteers forming its 700+ membership. Visit the web page for more information and to see some photos of projects underway.
Churches Together In Surrey – this facilitates networking between different denominations in specific areas of Church life, and the encouragement of Local Ecumenical Partnerships to share their experiences of unity at grass roots level with their parent denominations. Contact Patrick Butler for more information and advice.
The diocese provides its Surrey Appropriate Adult Service to Surrey Police, funded by Surrey County Council Adult Services and the Surrey Youth Justice Service. This is an important partnership in the ‘Growing community’ priority of our vision and strategy.
Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) – this is integral to the work of the Education Team. Read more about this.
The Diocesan Board of Education also actively seeks to forge links with community, foundation, special, faith and independent schools, so as to make a wider contribution to society’s task of educating and nurturing the next generation. Read more about these partners on the Education team’s ‘About’ page.
