The Diocese of Guildford is committed to providing safeguarding training to all church officers so they are equipped to understand and discharge their safeguarding responsibilities and have the core understanding of how safeguarding is rooted in our mission and theology as a church community.
There are different types of safeguarding training depending on your position of responsibility in the Church.
We recognise that safeguarding training can be emotive and triggering. If you have any questions or concerns arising from the training, please do not hesitate to contact one of the safeguarding team or access the Authorised Listeners.
All training is to be refreshed once every three years.
For core training (Basic Awareness, Foundation and Leadership), only the highest level of training must be refreshed.
