Lucy Bush is one of the new deacons being ordained at Guildford Cathedral on Sunday 2nd July and shares her story of being called to church ministry.
"My husband, Dave, has been my biggest champion, and he, along with my sending church, supported and encouraged me to respond to my call. I am also lucky to have many brilliant ordained people around me, who have all modelled what it looks like to be an ordained person!"
"I had a clear sense of God calling me at my friend’s ordination service in St Paul’s cathedral. The discernment process, though longer than I’d hoped for, was so helpful in testing that call, and having it confirmed by lots of other people along the way."
