Leaders of leaders course underway
The Foundations in Ministry Programme was launched earlier this week.
Speaking at the ceremony, Bishop Andrew told the audience how excited he was by the initiative, which begins in September.
“Foundations in Ministry is a two-year programme, designed to increase the leadership and missional capacity of our churches,” says the Revd Dr John Valentine, Dean of the Local Ministry Programme.
The course is made up of a Common Year of foundational theology and a second year of training in more specialist skills.
“The vision is for those being trained to be leaders of leaders, multiplying leadership and ministry,” says John.
The programme does not require essays or formal assessment, and is taught on six in person Saturdays over the course of a school year. Those will be interspersed with online small group reflections. Numbers on the course are limited.
