Journey to Net Zero Accelerates as First 10 Pioneers Announced

The diocesan Net Zero team has today announced the first 10 parishes to join its pioneers programme – a two-year collaboration between the churches and the diocese to accelerate the participating parishes towards complete decarbonisation.

Bishop Andrew has commented following an incident of vandalism at the Epsom Islamic Centre mosque on Tuesday 14 October. The police is investigating a report of racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage at the site.

Bringing worship out into the open: Pirbright and Wyke’s revitalisation

When The Revd George Watkinson was asked to come and lead the revitalisation of Pirbright and Wyke, the immediate challenge he faced was the inconspicuous location of St Michael’s Church, tucked away at the end of a country lane. This led to George’s brainchild, ‘Church on the Green’.
