This Sunday, 5 October, churches across the country will mark Homelessness Sunday, a national event dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring action around homelessness. The theme for 2025 is a powerful one: “Love thy neighbour.”
Just two years ago, Pirbright and Wyke was facing demographic challenges and possible church closures. When The Revd George Watkinson was asked to come and lead the revitalisation of Pirbright and Wyke, the immediate challenge he faced was the inconspicuous location of St Michael’s Church, tucked away at the end of a country lane.
