Occasional Preachers course

This is a three-day course, running on Saturdays 14 & 28 September and 12 October, from 9.30 am - 3.30 pm; the venue will be St John's Church, Woking.

This is NOT a free course; the course fees are £120 but they are paid upon completion of the course. Booking a ticket via Eventbrite reserves your place on the course. The course fees are normally covered by the PCC in support of the applicant. There may be occasions where participants opt to self-fund.

The course covers:

• Discerning a message and staying true to the text
• Form, content and structure
• Communication skills
• Listening to the community, context and congregation.

Participants also prepare and deliver a short sermon as part of the course.
