Families and Children's Ministry Leader, St Nicolas, Great Bookham
Contract:
Full Time
Salary:
£30,000- £33,000
Description:
ST NICOLAS GREAT BOOKHAM
FAMILIES AND CHILDREN’S
MINISTRY LEADER
Do you have a passion for helping children get to know Jesus? Do you enjoy building relationships with young families and children? Do you have a vision for reaching beyond the walls of the church and into the local community?
We would love to talk with you if you think this could be the role for you. Although some experience of working with parents and children aged 0-11 is essential, ongoing training is available.
St Nicolas is an active mid-sized church set in the heart of Great Bookham, a friendly community of 20,000 residents and with three schools in the immediate vicinity. Although there is already some fruitful ministry in place, there is scope for developing the work in both the church and community.
This is a full-time post but could be adapted as a part-time role if key core activities can be accommodated within the hours agreed. The role assumes working a five-day week including Sunday, and the willingness to sometimes work flexibly particularly at Easter, Christmas and some evenings.
We are offering an annual salary of £30,000-£33,000k (for the full-time role), five weeks annual leave, and enrolment in the Church Workers Pension Fund to which the church contributes.
If you would like to know more, the application pack and application form are available on our website.
If you would like an informal conversation, Alan Jenkins, our Rector, would be very pleased to talk with you (01372 635873). Closing date for applications is 9 May 2025.
St Nicolas is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All post holders and volunteers are expected to share this commitment and appointment to the post will follow the Church of England’s Safer Recruitment Process. As such, it is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
